Sales Account Executive

SmartAction is seeking an experienced Sales Executive to help to drive sales as we tackle the next step of our growth. The ideal candidate will leverage a broad base of consultative B2B sales experience and be as comfortable cold calling as they are following up warm leads. 

As Sales Executive, you will be responsible for selling our innovative products in a rapidly changing multi-billion dollar space. You will need to thrive well in small, fast-paced environments, demonstrating a high degree of initiative, passion for technology, and entrepreneurial drive to help contribute to the growth of SmartAction. We are looking for someone driven to succeed, someone who is looking for an exciting challenge and who is willing to devote the time necessary to be wildly successful.

 

Responsibilities

  • Generate, develop and close sales opportunities through cold calling targeted leads and following up on warm leads within the call center space.
  • Consistently document sales activity in Salesforce.com.
  • Collaborate with and provide ongoing feedback to marketing, product, and rest of sales team to improve targeting, benefits messaging and the overall sales process.
  • Understand complex customer requirements on both a business and technical level.
  • Provide presentations on SmartAction solutions designed to solve specific customer business problems.
  • Develop effective strategies for winning in a competitive environment.
  • Use social media and other tools to identify key decision makers and influencers in target prospects.
  • Work closely with a cross-functional support team during the sales cycle.
 Requirements
  • At least 7 years experience selling B2B services in the technology industry, particularly telephony/telecom products or services and especially to small and mid-size markets.
  •  Demonstrated strong performance in prior quota driven roles with outstanding execution and problem solving skills, resourcefulness, and creativity.
  • Previous experience selling software and/or SaaS solutions in a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial environment.
  • A solutions oriented self-starter who can work cross-functionally and is willing to take risks or try out new and innovative ways of doing things.
  • Ability to quickly learn product and solution and begin building pipeline.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Strong telephony presence.
  • Passion, persistence, integrity and ambition to succeed in sales.
  • Ability to cultivate and build trust with customers.
  • Desire to work in a start-up environment.
  • Experience selling to call centers a big plus but not required.
  • BS/BA degree preferred.

Marketing Intern

As a Marketing Intern, you will be responsible for analyzing customers’ existing capabilities and determine best-fit opportunities, as well as other marketing support, in a rapidly changing multi-billion dollar space. You will need to thrive well in small, fast-paced environments; have a passion for learning and technology; and come with an entrepreneurial drive to help see innovative solutions. We are looking for someone driven to someone who is looking for an exciting challenge.  This is a part-time position for 10-25 hours a week.  We are ideally looking for someone in school.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customers’ existing contact center capabilities to determine best-fit opportunities.
  • Research contacts using social media and other tools to identify key decision makers and influencers in target prospects and an appropriate sales strategy.
  • Consistently document activity in online CRM system (SalesForce).
  • Provide assistance as needed on marketing projects, including but not limited to marketing research, writing, and event planning.
  • Track prospects through the sales process to determine trends and address bottlenecks.
 Requirements
  • Strong telephone listening skills.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills and online databases.
  • Ideally at least 1 year experience in B2B or telecommunications services.
  • Ability to quickly learn.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

    We are currently seeking a junior software engineer to add to our team. We are most interested in your strength as a programmer, your ability to learn quickly, and your motivation.

     

     

    Key Skills & Responsibilities

    • At least 1 year of practical experience programming in C# and/or Java
    • Must be comfortable working in a Microsoft shop
    • Good communication skills and writing skills, including the ability to write documentation
    • Flexibility, and the ability to acquire competence in novel fields quickly
    • Bonus points for:
      • Development experience on the Microsoft .NET platform.
      • Experience with a broad range of web APIs (SOAP, POX, REST, etc.)

    Project Lead

    We need a dedicated, hard working person with an excellent understanding of the English language and grammar to help us with our artificial intelligence software project.

     

    The entry-level position involves using custom software tools to design, create, and test software solutions for interactive automated phone conversations. It also involves sometimes painstaking review and analysis of large amounts of data, so patience, discipline, and speed are important. Though not a programming job, some background in simple programming is preferred.

     

    You will interact with our engineering and sales teams, as well as coordinate meetings and project details directly with clients. You will also be responsible for keeping track of project priorities and helping to insure timely completion of tasks, as well as daily reporting of project status. The work requires an ability to focus on details, analyze scenarios, and come to practical conclusions.

    Senior System/Network Administrator

    We are seeking a senior system & network administrator to be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and expanding our high availability production IT infrastructure. The environment is primarily Windows, with a smattering of Linux. 

     

     

     

     

    The ideal candidate will possess:

     

    • 10+ years of experience in systems administration in a Windows production environment
    • 10+ years of experience in systems administration in a Linux production environment
    • 15+ years of network architecture and management including IPv4, routers, switches, and DNS in a high availability production environment.
    • 5+ years of experience with VOIP, including QoS, SIP, PBX configuration, monitoring and diagnostics
    • 10+ years of experience supporting 24/7/365 high-availability environments
    • Strong capacity planning skills, including the ability to assess production performance metrics and tune or scale as needed to meet SLA
    • Self-guided triage and follow-through skills to best respond to assigned duties
    • Strong architectural and practical skills for designing and implementing systems respectively.
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
    • Strong business acumen.
    • Ability to work flexible hours when needed; the ability to travel out of hours in the case of an emergency.
    • US citizen or green card holder

     

    Required Technical Proficiencies
    • Deep knowledge of Windows administration including Active Directory, Failover Clustering, Group Policy, DFS, and PowerShell
    • Deep knowledge of Linux system administration
    • Linux shell scripting, with at least 2 scripting languages such as bash, PHP, sed, awk, perl & python.
    • SQL Server configuration and maintenance in a high availability environment with clustering and mirroring
    • Experience with one or more network monitoring systems such as Zenoss, Nagios, Cacti
    • Experience with iSCSI SANs
    • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware
    • Deep understanding of common networking protocols
    • Designing and implementing high availability networks and services
    • LAN/WAN routing and Layer 2&3 switching (OSPF, BGP, STP and VLANs)
    • Enterprise-grade networking equipment and management tools
    • VoIP protocols and implementations such as SIP based PBXs, and QoS management
    • Network security including design and deployment of firewalls, router filter lists, antivirus systems, IPS / IDS, and system hardening
    • Remote access deployment and management (SSL VPN, IPSec).
