SmartAction is seeking an experienced Sales Executive to help to drive sales as we tackle the next step of our growth. The ideal candidate will leverage a broad base of consultative B2B sales experience and be as comfortable cold calling as they are following up warm leads.
As Sales Executive, you will be responsible for selling our innovative products in a rapidly changing multi-billion dollar space. You will need to thrive well in small, fast-paced environments, demonstrating a high degree of initiative, passion for technology, and entrepreneurial drive to help contribute to the growth of SmartAction. We are looking for someone driven to succeed, someone who is looking for an exciting challenge and who is willing to devote the time necessary to be wildly successful.
Responsibilities
- Generate, develop and close sales opportunities through cold calling targeted leads and following up on warm leads within the call center space.
- Consistently document sales activity in Salesforce.com.
- Collaborate with and provide ongoing feedback to marketing, product, and rest of sales team to improve targeting, benefits messaging and the overall sales process.
- Understand complex customer requirements on both a business and technical level.
- Provide presentations on SmartAction solutions designed to solve specific customer business problems.
- Develop effective strategies for winning in a competitive environment.
- Use social media and other tools to identify key decision makers and influencers in target prospects.
- Work closely with a cross-functional support team during the sales cycle.
Requirements
- At least 7 years experience selling B2B services in the technology industry, particularly telephony/telecom products or services and especially to small and mid-size markets.
- Demonstrated strong performance in prior quota driven roles with outstanding execution and problem solving skills, resourcefulness, and creativity.
- Previous experience selling software and/or SaaS solutions in a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial environment.
- A solutions oriented self-starter who can work cross-functionally and is willing to take risks or try out new and innovative ways of doing things.
- Ability to quickly learn product and solution and begin building pipeline.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Strong telephony presence.
- Passion, persistence, integrity and ambition to succeed in sales.
- Ability to cultivate and build trust with customers.
- Desire to work in a start-up environment.
- Experience selling to call centers a big plus but not required.
- BS/BA degree preferred.

Online Marketing Coordinator
As a part-time Online Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for helping support online marketing and social media efforts (Twitter, FaceBook, LinkedIn), as well as other marketing efforts. You will need to thrive well in small, fast-paced environments; have a passion for learning and technology; and come with an entrepreneurial drive to help see innovative solutions. We are looking for someone driven to someone who is looking for an exciting challenge. This is a part-time position for 20 hours a week.
Responsibilities
- Develop online campaigns and build online community to attract new customers.
- Maintain company website, including updating HTML.
- Support company's online presence and optimization on social media sites and search engines.
- Provide assistance as needed on marketing projects, including but not limited to marketing collateral development, PowerPoint presentations, research, audio/video editing and writing.
Requirements
- Good HTML skills.
- Strong telephone listening skills.
- Strong spreadsheet and PowerPoint skills.
- Familiarity with web-based email programs, WordPress, audio/video editing, and Graphic skills (such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Flash) helpful.
- Ideally at least 1 year experience in B2B or telecommunications services.
- Ability to quickly learn.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Desire to work in a start-up environment.
