MANAGEMENT

Peter Voss: Founder and CEO

Peter is an accomplished entrepreneur, inventor, engineer, and scientist. He started his career at age 16, in the field of electronics engineering. At age 25 he started a company to provide advanced custom software development and information technology services. Seven years later the company employed several hundred people and had a successful IPO. After selling his interest in the company in 1993, he worked on a broad range of disciplines, including cognitive science, philosophy and theory of knowledge, psychology, intelligence and learning theory, and computer science. This work served as the foundation for achieving our breakthroughs in artificial general intelligence.

Tas Dienes: CTO

Tas is a successful entrepreneur and a proven leader in customer-centric systems design and development. Prior to joining us, he was chief technology officer of Forval International, a subsidiary of a Japanese telecommunications company, where he designed and developed multifunction small-business network appliances with managed-services back-ends. He previously co-founded and led I/O Software Inc., a vendor of information security middleware with strong authentication devices such as fingerprinting, iris recognition, and smart cards/tokens. Tas holds a Doctorate in Chemistry from the University of California, Riverside, where he co-designed and co-developed the first field-portable aerosol time-of-flight mass spectrometer.

Michael Vanca: VP Operations

Michael is responsible for customer satisfaction and manages the project team, technical support and quality assurance.  He is an accomplished senior executive and successful entrepreneur with broad industry experience.  He managed IT operations at the Nichols Institute, was corporate VP of IT at NGK Spark Plugs, and CEO of Fulfillment Plus, Inc., a warehousing, inventory, shipment, logistics, and billing provider.  He has over 30 years of experience in Information Technology, Operations, and Corporate Governance. In 2000, he founded FPS, Inc. a third party logistics software and database SaaS firm, and in 2008, Advanced Driving Technologies., which works on cutting edge simulation technologies. Michael holds board memberships at two nonprofits working on social entrepreneurship and corporate governance.

Kevin Pilon: Senior Business Advisor

Kevin was VP and general manager at the Torrington Company, responsible for a $300 million product division with over 1000 employees. He was executive vice president at ABB’s $2 billion power business, where he led alliances, operational analysis, and technology transfer. He was also a senior executive with operations oversight at a startup that quickly attained $50 million of profitable revenue. Previously, he was a corporate officer at Combustion Engineering. Kevin holds a management certificate from The Executive Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School, an MA from Syracuse University, and a BA from the University of Michigan.

Carl von Vivenot: Director and Corporate Strategist

Carl has over 30 years’ experience starting and managing a broad range of companies in the information technology, automotive, insurance, and wholesale consumables industries, as well as in construction and property development. Two of the companies he founded were taken public. He has a proven ability to identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities. His board directorships include the Auto & General Insurance Company in Australia. Carl holds a Master of Business Leadership (Administration) from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Norman Pater: Director and Corporate Strategist

Norman Pater is the Managing Director of Costing & Logistics Systems. Prior to his involvement at CLS, Norman was a partner with Peter Voss. He was a founding director and shareholder of the Ohio Group Ltd, which listed in 1987 and was a dominant supplier of logistics and accounting systems in South Africa. In April 1994 Norman established Costing & Logistics Systems from scratch, with the specific goal of supplying and supporting quality commercial software for the mining and contracting industry.

Louise Gold: Director and Controller

Louise is a certified public accountant with over 20 years of experience in managerial accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Her career includes setting up and managing the German branch of an American software company. She has extensive experience at both public and private companies with enterprise resource planning systems, payroll management, and shareholder reporting. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business and Accounting from Southern Methodist University.
